I have lived so long I thought I had seen it all
But no, having pint of Titanic something or other in Denmead Queen (JD Wetherspoon) a family, eating breakfasts, not drinking complained about the eggs. Not to their liking it seems
Must say the eggs did look thrown on the plates and hardly cooked with TLC
Waiter took the eggs away, and came back with obviously freshly fried ones
Dad poked the fresh eggs with his dirty & used knife, proclaimed them not suitable
Waiter took eggs away
Came back with more fresh ones,
Ditto knife poking, ditto waiter going away
Family continue scoffing breakfasts
Waiter comes back with yet more eggs
Not accepted
By this time family have finished breakfast anyway
Manageress comes over, and yet again offers apology, and gives refund in full
Now, is it me?

You are paying around £5 , not £500
Hat's off to waiter & manageress, I would have just tipped the breakfasts over the diners heads

I had a very indifferent meal in a Harvester the weekend just gone.
It was £4.99
Left half of it, really for £4.99 I was not expecting a gastronomic experience was I?
Or do you think getting what you pay for & complaining is not related to price?
I am in the English tradition, say nothing unless really appalling, like a pint of Sarson's Best, never go back again, then report on PuG or Trip Advisor
