In about 3 weeks time i will be going to Cornwall for 7 days with base camp being at Falmouth.I will be mainly travelling west with trips to possibly Penzance,St Ives,Camborne,Helston,Redruth and Truro.Without looking at every review, is there any must do pubs in these areas.

Star Crowlas, Star Vogue near Redruth - beer fest 16th June, Watermill Lelant has a fest in marquee 23 June, Front at Falmouth.

Camborne, Redruth and Truro JDW's best bet. Heard there is a new JDW in St Ives.
Red River Gwithian outside Hayle. Britannia in Chacewater 14/18 bus route Redruth - Truro.

There are plenty serving decent beer in Good Beer Guide, but not a great variety of ales around as many are serving Sharps, Skinners or St Austell beers.

We just got here Saturday so still looking round. Above based on last year's visit.

Just come back from Snowdonia/North Wales (not much PG coverage there really) and I have a Black Country crawl planned, followed by the Severn Valley, followed by the PG Black Country crawl in October

Damn - that's slap-bang in my busy period at work. I suspect it's a no at this point unless I get a new job!

Walking down to the first annual beer festival at the Cowplain Social club, doors open at noon

    Open to public today

    Nearest pub, Spotted Cow opposite

Didn't add this to the beer festivals, password problems still

We plan to go to St Ives, Cornwall beer fest 8.6.12 and to Star, Vogue near Redruth beer fest 16.6.12. Enjoyed both last year.

Managed 3 fests round here on Friday that are still on this weekend if anyone is around.

Turks Head, Penzance. 4 on stillage plus about 4 on bar.
    Godolphin Marazion 30 on stillage
Mounts Bay, Mullion 12 on stillage and about 4 on bar.
