I think it likely I'll take up my great escape option - I booked vouchers ('right to buy') for 15Feb.
Rugby & Northampton combo looks on the cards - failed the latter segment of this coz trains were badly messed up on previous attempt.

It sounds good - but I am already booked for what will hopefully a blitz on Bracknell. I suffer for my art.

Plan to be at Whitchurch Cricket Club fest on Tuesday. Going to try and do a trip round the Black Country Friday.

Ale was excellent in the Greyfriar last night - WEBREW Conqueror, Dark Star Revelation amongst others. There is now flooring in the toilets but the doors still don't self-shut, so remember to pee with your back to them!! 20% CAMRA discount on pints only. Very good prices.

Thanks Quinno for this Newbury one
    The Starting Gate

I have often driven by and wondered what is was like, worth stopping for lunch etc [cue argument in car ]

Now I know, seems it was worth driving past as it happens and stopping the other side of Newbury
I drink to make others more interesting
