Moving the boat into solid drinking country shortly, with a visit to Gainsborough on the way.Route 1 to Leeds means tackling the tidal Trent and Aire and Calder canal, with a holiday week at the end of the month to navigate from Leeds to Liverpool finishing up in The Albert Dock.

Beginning with quite a few beers on Friday June 29th in Leeds,I plan to visit the following towns on successive evenings

    Keighley 30th
    Skipton 1st July
    Burnley 2nd
    Wheelton 3rd
    Wigan 4th
    Liverpool 5th

There will be lunchtime stops as well,so there will have to be a major detox while I write up my reviews.

If any PuGers are closeby on those night and fancy a beer or three with a shabby crew, just PM me at some stage

There is a rumour that we could have a dry day in Cornwall tomorrow, so we may go to Gwithian and I can walk along Red River Valley, after sampling the ales in the Red River pub, or we may risk going round on the open top 300 bus from St Ives round Lands End and Penzance and call into the Star at Crowlas before heading back to the caravan. Decisions...decisions...

Blimey Gill, I nearly choked on me sandwich when I read the above.
Fortunately it became clear, in the next sentence, that you must have been talking about weather! Silly trainman...

A trip round some Lincolnshire pubs this weekend and probably a day out in Norwich next Saturday which should net me quite a few new pubs.

Yes the weather was dry, but we did have a couple of beers in the new St Ives Wetherspoon's bar between buses. It is really handy for that at the bottom of the hill from the bus station.

I'm waiting for summer to arrive so that I can finish Brighton off by doing the seasonal bars along the beach. Not much else planned except for watching the football locally.
