    I won't be back until there's a change.

On paper, this should be one for the Pub Annoyances thread, but I'm always in awe of interactions like this. I almost feel like giving a round of applause if someone manages to process the full, end-to-end transaction without saying a single word and I always mention it in reviews because I can never quite believe that it happened!

The staff can be a bit goofy - especially the Frances Rossi-alike - but I don't see any other problems with the place.

How about below-par cask, £6+ pints and dealing with a mute behind the bar?

Hmmm. Not been in for a while, seduced by the offerings in south-east London [not]. I'll give it a go soon; I do think they have a minimum pricing policy though, thereafter price matching ABV, so perhaps you had a six-percenter?

My take is the ownership/management have lost interest, the pub has certainly dipped a notch or so but still worth a visit now and again.

Have never understood the hype around the Wenlock, having visited a few times over the years, all disappointing. Maybe just unlucky, I don't know
