    Default Canterbury pubs

Next Sunday 6 April I will be on a coach trip to Canterbury, all part of a a long weekend pre packaged holiday

I will not be own master regarding arrival or leaving times, I assume a few hours either side of noon, maybe bit more PM

Any city centre pubs that are not to be missed?

Any involving bus rides, train journey etc are out of the question due to time and having to be at pick up points at an unknown time

So assuming we are dropped somewhere near City Centre, any in walking distance to see or avoid

Near the Cathedral would be nice, as would chance of a sarnie with my pint, but pint first

I have never been to Canterbury so have a pinch of sightseeing to get in as well

Thanks for any suggestions, reviews to follow in due course
I drink to make others more interesting

Off the top of my head,I don't get to Canterbury as often as I would like.
    The Foundry
    The Bell & Crown Inn
    The New Inn
    City Arms

I've been to the Foundry fairly recently, the others in the dim and distant past, but I'm reliably informed that they are good. I don't know where the coaches park, but the Phoenix up by the County Cricket Ground used to be good, especially on Match days. I hope you have a good trip!

Thank you for the guide, I like the sound of the Foundry & City Arms, especially the comment "with a preponderance of the middle aged" for the Foundry early on, sounds like I may slot nicely in there

    Cheers
