    Ahhhhhh !!!

Done like a Kipper !! The God of Chance is certainly having a laugh at the moment..

Got a call at 9.00AM yeterday morning from a mate with a spare ticket and car seat to the Hawthorns due to a drop out and got permission from the one who must be obeyed to take the trip.
Was severely regretting it after 4 minutes of the game and feeling better about it after 97..
Then got home last night to find that the wifes side of the family had called and have thrown a get together on the 14th June in Cirencester to coincide with Fathers Day, and we were duly signed up to drive down on the 13th to stay with rellies..

Even if I had been quick and put it yje 13thin the diary on Friday I think it would have been overrulled..

So , unfortunately you are going to have to strike me from the list of attendees.......... Bugger !!

Bad luck Gann, there is always the next meet up after Rugby

Tickets are booked arriving at 10.41 and departing at 21.23.Having being dragged around Rugby on numerous crawls over the last 30 years ,I am also aware of the short cuts and footpaths around town,so happy to help out with directions on the day.My late departure means that after visiting the "core" recomendations,I am certainly interested in ticking off several of the less obvious choices.Getting around should be no trouble,it really is a very tight town centre.

Right, I'm booked in the Travelodge, so I'll be able to join BF on his late wander around town.

I'm a bit skinto at the moment and I think the hand brake will beat me to death if I tell her I'm spending a weekend in June on the sauce. If anything changes I'll be there with bells on, fingers and toes crossed.

Like Gann, the curse on the PuG meet-up has descended once more. The day before Fri 13th was decided upon, I promised a friend I'd attend his fiftieth bash, in Sowerby Bridge, on Sat 14th, which will probably be a Leo Sayer. Reluctantly, I'll have to pass on Rugby. Twenty years ago, I might have managed both, but not these days, I'm afraid.

No pub visits and you're still skint?

Just shows. If you don't spend it in the pub you'll just waste it anyway.
