Thread: Rugby Meet Up Friday the 13th June 2014

The Raglan opens at 4 pm on weekdays other than Friday I think when it's open all day.
The Alex has improved since being taken over by the owners of The Vic who also run the Atomic brewery from The Alex.
The Duck tends to have between 2 & 4 beers on generally from either nationals or large regionals. As to quality I haven't had an issue there but don't frequent it regularly as there are too many other decent boozers.
I haven't been in The Half Moon recently but it's still regularly used by a number of ale drinking friends with few complaints.
The London is a Marstons house which has long had a reputation for decent Pedigree. I didn't know it was known as Rugby's roughest pub, although there isn't huge competition for that title, so maybe a daytime visit would be most sensible or avoid it as there are plenty of others.

Agreed - it's not all about quantity!

Not been to Rugby and the train fares seem extraordinarily cheap for me, so suits me as a choice.

My decision to buy the wife an iPad for her Birthday continues to hurt my wallet as she surfs all day and sorts out weekends away and our summer hols on line (she books it , I pay for it )..
July is already looking busy and came home tonight to find a week in August had gone as well..
So how does a Friday in June sound, whilst I still have some cash left ?

Still prefer Saturdays but I Reckon I could manage that.

Either/or. I tend to prefer Saturdays but if a Friday means we can accommodate others, then fair enough.

Fridays are a lot easier for me than Saturdays. June is ok by me, though I've got a pub crawl planned for Sunday 29th, so would like to avoid the 27th if possible. This fits nicely with BF's preferred dates.

13th and 20th are preferred and free, but could do the 6th at a push...

Friday 13th for a PuG meetup has a certain ring to it........

Like it! (Not that I'm at all superstitious, but it gives us a reason to prefer one day over another.)
