    A decent week:

    Rudgate Hoppy Go Lucky
    Clarke's Classic Blonde
    Goddards Fuggle Dee Dum
Slaughterhouse Wild Boar and American Pale
    Everards Tiger and Old Original
Wye Valley Butty Bach and Silver Lining
    Purity UBU
    Oakham Bishops Farewell

The Hoppy Go Lucky, Slaughterhouse and Everards beers were all good and BOTW goes to Slaughterhouse American Pale Ale. There's probably a question over whether it qualifies as an APA as despite being brewed with American hops and being a pale amber in colour it is only 3.7%. Nonetheless it packs a flavour punch beyond it's strength.

A good selection tried this week.
    Darkstar - Hophead 3.8%
Darkstar - American Pale Ale 4.7%
    Cheddar - Gorge Best 4.0%
    Cheddar - Bully Bitter 3.8%
    Revisionist - Dark IPA 4.8%
    Flowerpots - Gooden's Gold 4.8%
    Hop Back - Citra 4.0%
    Mash - Chocolate Stout 5.0%
SVB - Black Hoppy Bitter 5.4%
    Triple fff - Goldfffinger 5.5%
Vibrant Forest - Black Forest Porter 4.9%
Vibrant Forest - Pale Ale Citra 5.0%
Vibrant Forest - Radicale - Lemon and Elderflower Wit 5.0%
    Inveralmond - Ossian 4.1%
    Salopian - Automaton 7.0%
Box Steam - Funnel Blower 4.5%
    Oakham - Inferno 4.%

I really cant split the best two beers, Salopian Automaton and Vibrant Forest Black Forest Porter ,both stunningly good in their own ways,
but I shall nominate Vibrant Forest Black Forest Porter on the basis this is another new brewery with some very interesting ideas that seem to work.

By default-Harveys Sussex Best Bitter 4% abv.It probably wouldn't have been if the competition was more exciting. A bit farmyardy,so scored 3.5. Next week should be better.

Unfortunately, my beer sampling this week ground to a halt on Wednesday, after picking up a virus. I was rather hoping to have Hobson's MILD in my list after the Worcester trip, but not to be. Just the four I'm afraid:

    Black Jack - Shuffled Deck.
    Oakham - Jester's Ferret.
    Loddon - Whirlwind.
    Williams Bros - Joker IPA.

Enjoyed the Oakham, but the Joker was another fine brew from Williams Bros.

A longish list with some good ones BOTW is Oakham - Scarlett Macaw, the Salamander is worth looking out for as well and the Wharfebank Printers Ink had a hint of Bathams MILD or maybe that was just wishful thinking

    Oakham - Scarlett Macaw
    Roosters - Mosaic
    BAD - #1
    Thornbridge - Jaipur
    Roosters - Londinium
    ?? - Let it Rain
    Daleside Old Leg Over

    Marble - Pint
    Ilkley - American Smooth

Only a small selection this week:-

    Adnam's Mosaic 4.1%
    Hopcraft Chorister's Gold 4.2%
London Fields Love Not War 4.2%
    Adnam's Oyster Stout 4.3%
Adnam's Two Brewers Irish Stout 4.4%
    Wickwar Gold 4.5%
    Everard's Sir Ryan 4.7%
    Hopcraft Going To Australia 4.9%
    Grainstore 1050 5.0%
    Brodie's Old Street Pale 5.0%
    Clouded Minds Hazelnutter 5.0%

The easy winner is Adnam's Mosaic at £2.35 in the Wanstead George. I could smell the hop aroma from this beer on the bar counter a foot away. This is more proof if it were needed that Adnam's are the only large regional brewer really getting to grips with "craft" style beers.

They're certainly brewing some excellent beers. Have to say I was very impressed with their Topaz Gold, in The Crabtree, W6 last weekend.
