I have been in loads of pubs this week but not many top beers
    London fields -American black ipa
    London fields -Shoreditch triangle
    arbor -artisan
    oakleaf -stokers stout
were the best of them but the 2 bottled beers I had tonight were lovely
    Deuchers-Imperial pale ale 5.2
    and botw
Sadlers-Mud City Stout 6.6(not very stoutish more porterish but a great beer)
    both £1.49 from a 99p+ shop.

No pub again this week.Best of the bottles, but alas not bottle conditioned, was, surprisingly, Brakspear's Bitter, a real blast from the past.Honest bitter as it should be.

A fair choice this week :-

    Brentwood Chestnut Stout 3.99%
    Ringwood Scuttle Buck 4.0%
    Long Man Best 4.0%
    ELB Pale Ale 4.0%
    Brodie's Amarillo 4.2%
    Caledonian Auld Acquaintance 4.4%
    Long Man Sussex Pride 4.5%
    Clarence & Frederick's Special 4.6%
Tap East Americn Pale Ale 4.7%
    Adnam's American Style IPA 4.8%
    Milestone Pranger Danger 4.9%
Burton Bridge Top Dog Stout 5.0%
    Tap East Sixpence Stout 5.0%
    Milestone Donner and Blitzed 5.4%
    Lymestone Stone The Crows 5.4%
    Summerskill's Indiana's Bones 5.6%
Alpha State NZ IPA (Keykeg) 6.5%
    Adnam's / Stone Double IPA 8.5%

Adnam's seem to be the only brewery apart from Everard's who have really grasped the nettle with the American Spoons guests. Their Stone Black IPA back in the October Festival was easily the best one and this Double IPA is as good. The sweetness is offset by a big hop aroma and taste that make it dangerously drinkable. It was in perfect condition in the E4 King's Ford at £3.58 a pint. The only real competition is from the Tap East Sixpence Stout which is everything Guinness should be but isn't.

BOTW Adnam's / Stone Double IPA

    Another very poor week,with bottled BrewDog 5am Saint and Punk IPA plus on cask;

    Sharp's -- Doom Bar
Mc Mullens -- Country Bitter ,which by default becomes BOTW.It's a modest brew from a brewery that has a lot to be modest about.

Next week footie followed by end of the month sessions,so I should have something more respectable to proffer as BOTW.

My God, it must be one hell of an IPA to beat Jaipur and Lagonda. Will have to keep an eye out for it.
