I have tried to add this pub's website using the normal process but it just won't have it (even though it is an unbroken link that really does work):

Very strange, I have submitted that one for you and changed the way we check links on the server, at the very least it will show fails quicker now.

We used to read the page and check it was real, for some reason their server was objecting to our live server doing that (which seems a little odd), so I have switched it to just checking if our server believes that site exists.
