I "did" pretty much all of Carshalton's pubs in October (in one hit of course!). The Sun was closed at the time but I was aware it had re-opened. Carshalton is quite picturesque and a great place for a pub crawl if anyone wants to try it.

Sorry, I've only just spotted this thread.

Strange comment for them to make - the pub only reopened in November 2009, so seems unlikely it is under new management since I wrote my review. Maybe it's a reference to the review before mine. As Roger says, there are plenty of good pubs in Carshalton and I thought The Sun was a good addition to the area.

Interesting. The only time I visited the Sun (~3yrs ago), I unfortunately failed to review it but vaguely recall it leaning toward a lager crowd - I necked my Pride (or some such) & left. If they are now offering the sort of selection Pubsignman has indicated, it'll definitely be on map, along with the resurgent Hope, next time I wander over that way.
