Sorry, I didn't express myself clearly enough. I went in nine pubs altogether, but having resolved to go in mostly old favourites, I went in six new ones and only three that I'd been in before.

It's your count, so you can set your own rules. I counted one pub as new last year even though I'd been in the building before, just over a year ago. It had changed so much that I actually went outside again to check the exterior and make sure it really was the same building and not a similar one down the street. Others in the same situation might not have counted it as new. It's not a competition - it's an addiction.

I will add that I can't remember when I last went into a pub that I have been into before, other than the local few.

A two night stay in Sheffield on the 2nd & 3rd of January netted me zero new pubs!!

We did visit 15 pubs during our stay and a couple will need review updates, but none were new.

    Maybe I'm cured.

Having spent a chunk of last year hacking down the list of outstanding reviews from 250 to 5 I still managed to bag 200 new ones, most of which happened in six months. Whoops.

This year I'm aiming to 'do' the easy(ish) pubs on what I consider to be my local rail network, most of which haven't been reviewed. I had a dry (wet?) run with Sandhurst last year and it was a nice way to spend a couple of productive hours after work when Mrs Quinno was off doing her good works. There's also my London hit-list which has been pretty neglected over the last 12 months...

I reckon 250 will be my total this year.

I only managed 141 last year which was down on the year before, possibly because I didn't have a walking mission to take me regularly to new places. I hope to remedy that this year. I should also join the 1000 club, hopefully by Easter.
    Ok, maybe just for one......................

Not really sure how many i did last year. My aim this year is to complete Brum - fully updating it - confirming closed and recently demolished pubs.

I managed 208 last year, which is slightly better than my annual target of 200. I did spend about 11 weeks out of the country, which slowed things down a bit.

Managed 7 so far this year - not outstanding, but a steady start. My target is make some inroads into unphotographed and unreviewed London pubs.
