Pubs Galore Worcester Meet Up 21st March 2014

As things stand at the moment we are ok for Any Friday/Saturday Feb and March apart from 1.2.14.

Beer festivals around Fleetwood 6-8 Feb, NWAF Derby 19-22 Feb, Beerex Sheffield and Burton 14-16 March if they would interfere with any plans.

Worcester is so easy to get around from pub to pub, and there are plenty of others that we did not get to. We did a kind of circular walk meeting up in Postal Order and finishing at the Dragon.

...also shouldn't this thread be in Pub Crawls rather than Chit Chat?

All Saturdays are out for me, Fridays are not.

Saturdays are more difficult for me workwise, particularly as I may need to keep some for football towards the end of the season (this echoes BF's earlier comment). Also I think the pubs are a little less crowded on a Friday afternoon, at least before 4pm.

Many thanks to Gill for her excellent research in Worcester and for her quick upload of her reviews.It sounds like there are plenty of interesting pubs to visit in Worcester,many with decent real ale.There has also been a ground swell of support for Worcester at both the last two crawls so lets talk possible dates.

Fridays have proved popular but with the need to book advanced tickets (possible deals on the London Midland network ?) it might be sensible to consider February or March.Any Friday would be fine with me ,apart from the last Friday in each month,Feb 28th,March 28th.

Saturdays are an alternative but football fixtures can get in the way .I couldnt make Feb 8th,22nd,March 8th ,March 29th.

Perhaps we should be thinking of extending the range of possible dates into April (leaving aside Easter weekend, of course) since previous experience suggests it takes quite a time to reach a consensus, and for those coming from some distance away the price of train tickets can be a crucial consideration. Tickets for February have been on sale for a few weeks already, and March will mostly be available before New Year.
