A pub is for life not just for Christmas
I have not yet posted a review of my pub of the month but it is the newly refurbished Rose Se1 near the Borough market.I will have to check it out again after seeing on twitter that they have a floor made from pennies which I completely failed to notice. Alcohol may have played a part in this oversight.
I'm going to stick my neck out here and nominate the newly opened Leyton Technical in E10 as the pub of the month. The reason I have reservations about it as when I went there on the first Saturday they were open, the beer selection was well below what you would expect from an Antic pub. I'm hoping this will improve and I'll be returning in a couple of weeks time. Sadly it doesn't open until 16:00 on weekdays.
POTM Leyton Technical
Best pub I visited during August has to the The Holy Inadequate,Etruria,Stoke on Trent.
Rather like The Nags Head in Reading, the pub has been revived by an ale loving owner. This street corner local is now a must visit (IMHO) if you are visiting SoT,where there are now some outstanding pubs dotted about.Although an intimate knowlewdge of the local bus routes would be needed for a good crawl,I can forsee the day when a PuG crawl hits the area.

My pub of the month for August goes to The Queens Arms ,i really liked it in here and would happily have a good session in here if with company.
A great discovery for me this month only six or seven miles from my doorstep, The Alfred Freehouse.

Discovery for me too, Bingley turned out to be a worthwhile destination with a hard choice between several of its pubs, I'll agree with my friends in Bradford Camra - Off the Tap

Just a couple of new pubs this month, but really enjoyed The Red Lion Inn in the pretty Derbyshire village of Litton. It's a cosy stone built pub, on the edge of the village green, featuring beers from local breweries.
