    Default Free Classical Music

With all due respect, J Stone (15 Feb 15): surely Radio 3 or Classic FM would have been a safer bet - no worry about swearing or about what your over-active 2-year-old gets up to when it gets bored after several hours of having to sit still in an adult-centric environment.

I'm glad you posted this here as it doesn't deserve to be removed because it perfectly illustrates how ridiculous some people's expectations of pubs are. I bet his kids end up as avid followers of Gangster Rap, Death Metal or a yet to be discovered music style that outrages parents.
As for classical music I get enough of that shite bombarded at me whenever I go through Walthamstow Bus Station!

The landlord has posted a well argued riposte, on the dark side.

There are 2 sides to every argument but I believe the landlord. My granddaughter is a 2 year old and I am sure she would love to sit quietly listening to live classical music in a pub.

Not sure classical music is for pubs but I agree with the landlord ,the complainee appears to be a right Knob and I would rather listen to a bit of Rimsky-Korsakov than Mr Stones.

I thought this thread was going to be about how it's a good idea to have classical music in pubs because it's out of copyright and the PRS can't charge you for a licence

And yeah the landlord comes across better in that exchange.
