I too fell asleep on the choo choo - only i missed my stop, as there was no FOUR MINUTE WARNING. Anyhow, a great day. Hats off to Quinno for all his hard work throughout the day, especially for drinking pop in order to remain sober (until someone pointed out that's what he usually does anyway)

I must have been p1ssed, I woke up thinking the buses were pink!
A fine tour Quinno, and exceptional organisation in arranging the fabulous fly-over.
Fox & Hounds will certainly be added to my Reading list on next visit. I was just telling her it was a good pub, games room with pool & darts to the rear, & Lennon & McCartney played there (as Nerk twins) in 1960
She said "What? Pool, or darts...?" My sides are still splitting, hahaha...

Interesting list john,I didn't make any notes so have spent the morning trying to remember what beers I had where, cant for the life of me remember the name of the beer in the Fox and Hounds other than it began with a C, and no recollection at all what I had in my last stop in the Oakford Social Club. But based on what I do Know my top three pubs for beer were,
1 Nags Head- Sherfield Village Black and Hoppy
2 Lyndhurst - Binghams Vanilla Stout
3 embarrassingly for me, The Monks Retreat - Butcombe Great Grey Owl

Top three pubs ( and not a JDW in sight) were,
    1 Nags Head
    2 Retreat
    3 Fox and Hounds

A really good day out, I too fell asleep, not on the train but on a bench on the platform at Basingstoke waiting for my delayed connection,I awoke to find the train waiting there and only just made it, finally got home sometime after midnight.
