    Talking Pub Apps

Hey everybody, we are planning to launch an app to help allow you to start a tab and pay for it with 1 click on the App

    http://unbouncepages.com/run-a-tab/

Any thoughts? Is this something you would use or do you use something similar already? All feedback is welcome...
If you want to find out more sign up on the site.

    Cheers!

Most pubs I know will start a tab for you by taking your card details at the start and then processing and finalising the bill at end complete with receipt including the spoons. Plus you now have touch and pay wave & pay. Me I'm strictly a cash only man in a pub never use credit or cards in pubs.
If I'm having a booze up like I did last week for me 55th I just stick £200 behind the bar and when its gone its gone. So very doubtful I would ever use it.

If a pub asks me for a card before start of play I'm gone.

Never believed in tabs since a friend opened one in a German restaurant many moons ago, and we had a bill of over £100 for the 4 of us with drinks on it we had not had. Too easy to abuse it, depending on where you re of course. Anytime I get asked I refuse it.

Looking at the screen shot "remaining credit £25,70 (sic)" I guess it takes a sum of money up front and credits you back when you leave, a bit like Oyster. Fine I suppose, but all seems a bit of a flap compared to paying cash, and I suspect someone using the system in a busy but chronically understaffed (or badly staffed) Wetherspoon's may well constitute a Pub Annoyance.

Personally the only time I ever run up a bill for bar drinks is in hotels.

    Question Thanks for feedback!

Thanks for all of your feedback.

Yes, when I go out to the pub I always find standing at the bar the most boring part - and waiting and waiting and waiting.... What are the issues you experience in the pub which you think could be sorted out?

If ordering drinks on your phone and knowing what is going on your tab / who is using it solve those issues for you?

    Cheers!
