Sounds like there will be a good crowd in The Monks Retreat for the early kick off early,I will head straight there for something to line to stomach.

I'll be in the Monks Retreat from about 10:30 and don 't have to leave Reading on Saturday evening as I have a room booked somewhere.

I shall aim to make the Monks Retreat (even though this will mean two JDW's in a day ) I have only about 30 mins train journey including one connection so will probably aim for 10.30.

I was hoping to visit the Abbey ruins (was going to ask oldboots), sadly, it is closed - health & safety. I shall then go to the Monk's Retreat after arrival. I will need to find out where it is - what we need is a website that gives names, locations and maps to all the pubs in a given place
