And likewise the three of you, with the conversation adjourning to the Angel Ale House on a serendipitous evening!

We arrived in the tiny Hard Times & Misery in Liverpool on Sunday.

There were only 4 people in when we arrived.

I was talking to the barman about beer and the style of beers I order for The Baum when one of the
other punters introduced himself as Al Bundy.

What are the chances that we were in the same place at the same time in a city as big as Liverpool?

    Good to meet you Al.

More than a couple I'd say.

Yesterday in the Kelham Island Tavern, Gill halfpint and Ray, just stopping for a quick half and a cob on their way between the beer festival at Shakespeares and the Fat Cat. Gill named a long list of beers they'd had at the festival, after which I was surprised that they were able to stand up!

No name dropping here as I didn't catch a name. I was sitting at the rear of the Berkhamsted Crown yesterday and a blackbird flew straight over my head, out the rear door, through the garden ending up in some low trees or bushes behind the garden. It's a long narrow pub so I can only assume it flew in the front entrance and all the way through the pub. I've seen pigeons travelling on the Circle line and one in a beer festival but never anything like that.

Perhaps it had heard the beer was going cheep.
