must admit i usually drink 1/2 pints at festivals just to get round as many beers as possible

I wonder if this is a pathetic attempt to camouflage high prices. Personally I wouldn't bother with it at all if they don't sell pints. I HAVE drunk a third of a pint before but it was the 22% Brodie's Elizabethan Ale which costs the same as a pint and to be honest is so sweet and heavy that you need to knock back a pint of Romanov Stout afterwards just to clean the palette.

Cant see the point of this at all,a pint or half pint measure are perfectly adequate. I too tend to stick to halves at a festival for the same reasons as hondo but in a pint glass just in case I find something special that demands you have a pint.

Iprefer 1/3rds at fests but this is nonsense.Most London fests are abandoning 1/3 as they are not popular.The Suns comment that its to stop people getting drunk is pretty lame even by their standards.
