Down in Newcastle for the horse racing which has been called off as its snowing. A day on the bevvy as booked on the 21:00 train home. At least it will boost my pubs reviewed numbers but not looking forward to tomorrow morning.

I'm jealous too. Some lovely pubs to have a crawl round in Newcastle.

Sorry but we are looking forward to York too much to do any swapping. Only hope the snow doesn't close the site. Shouldn't do as we have caravanned there a few times in snow before, but they do close if the river rises as the site is alongside it and we have to ring them Tuesday to check.

There's not a lot of snow here Gill, and the river is well within its banks. We are about 12-18 hours upstream from York before the Ure turns into the Ouse so we see our flood plain flooded and know York will get it sometime the next day.

Thanks OB. They said to ring Tuesday, but looking good. Love the site as even Ray can walk into the centre. So many good pubs and a whole week to enjoy them in.

Hope Newcastle was good Hondo, despite the snow.
