Changes & corrections in Matlock

The Thorntree Inn is actually Thorn Tree Inn.

I'm not sure about The Gate Hotel. It now seems to be more of a shop, called Designate, but apparently it's still licensed: "licensed arts venue", it says on the corner of the building - which doesn't help me much, and unfortunately I didn't cross the threshhold when I was in Matlock today. Their website is not clear on this point and their facebook entry calls it a cafe. I hesitated to mark it as closed - your call.

The Monk Cellar is now called Monk Bar.

I have submitted a new pub, The Crown. This needs some explanation, as there is a Wetherspoons of the same name and in the same postcode. The original Crown is listed on the Lost Pubs Project with a photo and description that confirms it is not the same as the current 'Spoons pub. The intersection of the roads at this point is named Crown Square, and there's quite a nice bit of stonework in the corner of the building which features in one of my photos. Sorry for going on, but I didn't want you deleting it as a duplicate!

We have updated the names of Thorn Tree Inn and Monk Bar. As you say the Gate Hoel Facebook page says it is a cafe and i has cafe like opening hours, so decided to mark it as closed.
