Not the greatest month for pub visits but the outstanding one for me was the ever reliable Old Fountain,Old Street.Maybe not the most noteworthy interior but the new roof terrace looks interesting whenever it stops raining. However in terms of real ale,the care taken here to produce top quality ale from leading brewers marks this out as a must visit when in London. It's also now open at weekends.

Although not last Saturday. And Cask was closed 24th, ~14:30.
Are the beer gods trying to tell me something?

    Default Vine, Bursledon

The whole family, from young to old, really enjoyed an excursion to the Vine Inn at (Old) Bursledon - well worth delaying the Boxing Day lunch for.

This month, I'm going to nominate my village local The New Inn , Walton, Wakefield. The new(ish) couple managing the place have undertaken a major refurb and have brought real energy with them. Recently, the number of hand pumps has increased from four to seven and it is possible to suggest guest beers. I've already some doubts about the sustainability of beer quality, but I sincerely hope they pull it off.

I'm going to vote for the newly opened Terrace Bar in Manchester's Northern Quarter.

Nicely decorated in a fairly minimal style with 6 handpumps. A gret addition to the N/4 pub crawl.
