    Default Help with photos please

I have been trawling through my photo's that are on disc and a few of these i am unable to identify,is it possible to show photo's on the forum.

One of these pubs is definatly in the middle of London and to me looks like it is in the Victoria area but i may be wrong, this pub is four storey high with the third and fourth storey having balconys with wrough iron railings, the pub is on a road junction and faces a set of traffic lights.
There is a picture of a mans head on the pub sign
I have tried looking through pubs in that area on this site but no luck at the moment.

I would appreciate any help with this.

    Thanke Alan

    Yes, that is impressive.

Alan, I'm sure it is possible to show pictures on the forum, if you've got your pictures ona disc. I'm far from being an expert, but when I clicked on the "reply with quote" button I got a row of icons at the top of the message. One of these (fourth from the right) is "insert image". It looks as if you can then browse for the selected photos, much as you do when uploading a picture to a pub's page. Worth trying I reckon.

Yeah it's dead easy though you'll need to press 'select file' at the bottom of the grey box that appears to get it to do point at your desktop/hard driveClick image for larger version.

Thanks for that Rex and Quinno,

This is another pub that is bugging me at the moment, the pub is a Burtonwood house that i think is in Wigan or in the western area of Greater Manchester.

I would appreciate any help in naming this pub and the town it is in.

    Cheers Alan

This pub looks familiar. I think I used to pass it when I was on my way to train Wigan Youth Offending Team.

Their base is in Platt Bridge so if I'm right it may be somewhere near there.

Definitely Wigan. If you look at the church in the background, it's identical with the one shown here.

The pub is called Sams Bar on Frog Lane near the centre of Wigan.
It was probably called The Colliers Arms when the photograph was taken.
