    Default Pork Crunch

After my trip to the Black Country and my first taste of pork crunch I've had none in a month and I have withdrawal symptoms. I know that they are a Midlands treat, but does anyone know where there is an outlet in the South East?

If I manage to source some I’ll save JAQPTIO some!

It's not just the Midlands. Just about every pub around here sells them as well.

I live in SW London and my local Tesco sells them, you can keep them for me though, sometimes they have hairs on!

Ray reckons they are a poor substitute for the real scratchings.

I also prefer the real thing, but they are readily available all over the place. In fact my local gets them from the local butcher and sells cups of them.
Never seen pork crunch before though.

    I much prefer proper scratchings

One of my locals sells big bags. There are three grades - crunch ( for women ), normal ( suitable for all ) and hard ( for proper blokes ) !!

Perhaps you could pass this on to Cameron Diaz - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...pub-snack.html

or Cameron and Strongers could try this pork scratchings appreciation site http://www.hairybarsnacks.com/index.php

I found that when I was looking for Ernie Rounds which I remembered from Bristol in the 70s but he seems to have gone under.
