Inveralmond Brewery - Pundie

Nothing last night hit the spot but some good beers earlier in the week
tiny rebel-full nelson
liverpool organic -stella gold
franklins -citra ipa was very good.
but the winner was from a very good new scottish brewery
cromarty -rogue wave

Another winner from Oakham gets BOTW ,namely their Winter Wraith.Dark,rich,nutty yet with that trademark intensely bitter Oakham finish this pint raised my spirits on a very wet and windy day in Northampton,served in the outstanding Malt Shovel.

Next week heading to The Falcon,Clapham Junction which always seems like a permanent beer festival and should provide fodder for BOTW.

A clear winner this week, Knaresborough Steak & Ale Beef Stout brewed with real beef, much better than it sounds and brewed to a very old recipe in collaboration with Kirkstall Brewery, incredibly drinkable at 6.5% the only hint of its strength is in the nose. For the record this is what it was up against:

Acorn Old Moor Porter
Theakstons Masham Glory
Rat Brown Rat
Magic Rock High Wire NZ
Scarborough Mild

plus some excellent bottles from the likes of Nogne O,Chimay and Anchor (the long established US micro brewer in San Fransisco, they seem to have dropped the Steam Beer part of the name) but I don't usually count bottled beers for this.
