    Default Appy Ever After

I've just bought the new iPod touch 5 which allows me to download apps any smartphone owner recommendations for beer, sport, travel related apps appreciated. If i can work this new gadget i may be able to join the ranks of pub photographers and as i can now access wi-fi my unsociable rating will now increase from 97% to 98%

Love my new gadget. My new OCD is "Live pub reviews" using wi-fi certainly cuts down the backlog but can be dodgy at the end of a session.

Pubs Galore app is good on android but don't know if its available on I phone works brill on my Samsung note as its a nice big screen. Cask Finder App is ok and the Wetherspoons ones not bad. there is also Plenty of free transport ones for London Buses & Tube. Theres even a Greggs app so you can find the nearist greggs for a snack.

    Pub Galore App ??
Unfortunately not for Apple iPhone or iPad me thinks.
If it exists I've never found it.
I tend to use CaskFinder, PubFinder and RealAleHunter when travelling but none of them have decent databases.
And the CaskFinder App is particularly disappointing in this respect.
However the Dark Star Breweries own app is brilliant, and so to for those of you around the Pennines is the Copper Dragon Brewery App.

And I am surprised Alesonly didn't mention it being associated with the Trains, but the National Rail App is very good as well.
All the features of the National Rail website are replicated in the app and you can set up frequent journeys to give you status updates.
In my experience its very reliable and has allowed a cheeky extra pint around Kings Cross when it correctly indicated a delay on the homeward connection
