    I’ve known for a while that I can’t make it, but I was hoping that that a miracle would happen and I would be free. No such luck I’m afraid

    I was hoping to be able to make it but not a chance now. Work is that busy it is getting ridiculous.

    I was hoping to get Friday off and now I have got to work Saturday as well !! I suppose I shouldn't complain but I will anyway.

    This snow is a little worrying.
    The forecast says "4-6cm of wet snow", but word from Nottingham suggests 4 inches and "as much as 20 inches on higher ground"
    I can only report as I hear, but really can't afford to get stuck up there, albeit only 100 miles..
