This will all come in very handy for my own trip to Leicester on Saturday (bought train tickets in anticipation of a good result in tonight's replay, but ITV rendered it all pointless by switching the match to Sunday!). At least I can see that there'll be plenty for us to do instead .

I have to agree that The Pub is the obvious place to gather.

Thinking about a route and looking at the trusty Pubsgalore map of the city centre there does appear to be an arc of likely venues for the crawl from The Pub which have been mentioned by various people earlier in the thread namely

    Kings Head
Swan and Rushes with a possible diversion across Mill Lane Bridge to The Western
    Criterion
    Shakespears Head
    Cafe Bruxelles
    Globe
    Longstop
Salmon with a possible diversion to Bridle Lane Tavern
    Ale Wagon
Time to bump this thread as it's two weeks tomorrow. It looks like we're meeting at noon in The Pub, those arriving earlier haven't mentioned a place but I'm sure you'll bump into each other in one pub or another.

I'm on the train arriving at 11:54 so I may bump into Sheffield Hatter at Sheffield station, sadly I won't have time for a livener in the Tap .

What, even though the onsite brewery is open!!!

I'm sure you'll manage to "make an error" on your way back, so you can call in.

I was in the Tap last night and couldn't believe it when I went off looking for a seat and instead found a brewery. I tried their Treacle Stout and very nearly missed my train home as a result.

Sounds like there might be a decent station bar in Leicster now as well - The Time Bar - just in case our 'to do' list isn't long enough.

We have been giving this a little thought, and we will be in Leicester already for the beer festival. Ray has said he doesn't think he is up to the speed that the crawl goes round. We did do parts of both Nottingham and Liverpool on our own as we couldn't keep up.

We have decided that we will stay with the beer festival, and make our way over to the Salmon 4 or 5 ish, and if the plan is as the above list, you may well be around then. Ray could stay with the Salmon and I could join the rest of you doing the rounds. I haven't done the Bridle Lane Tavern myself yet, and the list has that from the Salmon. We have no train to catch as we are in the travelodge Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
