    Default Pub license?????

Hey just a quick question. About a year and a half ago I was working for a pub who put me through for my pub license. I took the course and passed but a few weeks later I was offered a job outside the pub industry so I never put it through the local authority to register to that pub. I have been told by a friend because I have not registered it within a few months then I would have to take the test again. Is this correct or would I just need to register it with the next pub I am with????

    Thanks

Welcome to the site John. I can't answer your question but we have a couple of people from the trade so hopefully someone can give you some advice.
I've just joined Alcoholics Anonymous - I still drink, just under a different name.

I'm a little confused. Do you mean a personal licence which belongs to you or a premises licence which goes with the pub? A personal licence holder has to be designated as premises supervisor of a pub but doesn't have to be the same person who holds the pub's premises licence.

As far as I know (I hold a personal licence) your BCIIA Level 2 or whatever qualification doesn't expire but your CRB check must be less than a month old when you apply.

Sorry yes it's a personal license, that I past te test for but never got a crb or anything and never received anything other than my certificate. So if I got a crb done would it still be valid to send off for??? Thanks

My guess is yes but I'd give the council a quick ring to make certain.

So far as I understand it, the Personal Licence qualification lasts for 10 years, presuming you have a certificate (APLH?) that says you passed the course. You do need to have had a criminal record check within 28 days however.
On leaving the bar, I felt a strong blow to the back of my head. Turning round, I discovered it was the pavement
