Lots of new pubs to me for June, my finall choice for pub of the month goes to the White Lion in Norwich, this is a cracking pub with a good choice of real ales and a better choice of real Ciders.

The first pub I went to when I arrived in Manchester 3 weeks ago - The Angel. Lots of different ales on, and the ones we had were all fine. There is also a professional piano player on a Saturday afternoon which is unusual. Very friendly barstaff who got through the large number of thirsty drinkers quite quickly.

I agree wholeheartedly with Mr Aleandhearty about the Whitelocks in Leeds, a great and characterful boozer with a fine ale range. I was also very taken by The Grove and its regular stocking of excellent Ridgeside beers but POTM has to go to The Boltmakers in Keighley for its warm and convivial atmosphere but mostly for its TT Landlord which simply refuses to stay in the glass.

Quite a few good pubs visited in June, the http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/11489/ particularly sticks out because of the great welcome. The Landlord was passionate about his beers

Ah, the Blue Bell:excellent town pub! Still to try Brigantes and Tan Hill.

Two visits in the month to The Grove,Leeds convinced me to make it POTM.The combination of an interesting interior, very fine ale and being close to both the station and the Leeds and Liverpool Canal made this a real winner.First time I have ever come across Ridgeside beers,a brewery I will be keeping a weather eye open for in future.
