A pub is for life not just for Christmas
Drum & Monkey excellent city centre pub
"Do I know where hell is? hell is in hello"
Two contenders up to now the Mallard in Worksop and the Royal Oak in Aubourn,i car'nt make a decision yet as i am going on a pub crawl round Norwich next week which will hopefully net me 20 new pubs.
I will make my final choice after the Norwich crawl.
Up that London tomorrow so it will be almost certainly one from the seven or eight planned, two new pubs to visit so choice will be made upon my return.

No more new pubs for me this month so.....
This months POTM is going to be Walters in Hull.
17 handpumps for real ale + 6 for real cider and NO draught lager.
Very friendly staff and all the beer was well kept.

The Slip in York has been the best pub I've been in this month by a short nose from the Boltmakers in Keighley.
Tough choice this month - the Blue Bell and Brigantes in York were both excellent but I can't look past the Tan Hill Inn - well worth the serious mission to get there
June has been very quiet on the new pubs front. However, I really enjoyed visiting Whitelocks First City Luncheon Bar again after a good few months. Wonderful interior, friendly young bar staff and the beer range seems better than ever.
