    Marston's Double Drop

"Crafted using the almost forgotten double dropping fermentation technique and a late application of hops.Marston's Double Drop deliver's a fresher and brighter beer that brings out the full clean flavour of the malt."
    It say's on the bottle,
well I'm not sure about all that but it's ok ,nothing more nothing less.

I've just finished a bottle of Old Dairy's Wild Hop,brewed from a hop found growing near the brewery. These, known as the Sussex Hop, have been grown on and nurtured by a retired hopgrower.A good crisp characterful citrussy beer:I'd like to try it in its cask form.

First of the day was a pint of Red Squirrel Conservation Bitter but right now it's a bottle of Castle Rock Screech Owl. A strong IPA and quite good.

Right now it's a pint of Ringwood XXXX Porter. Not seen this before and have to say it's pretty good. Drinking it whilst watching a re-run of yesterday's rugby which makes it even better.

Not had the Ringwood xxxx Porter for a few years but always rated it at the top end of the scale.

Had a pint on draught in The Castle earlier in the day, but it was served so cold (and with a sparkler, which I can't imagine that Ringwood's brewer would have intended) it would be difficult to rate very highly.

Copious quantities of fruit juice and tea after last night's excessive consumtion of white and red wine, port and liqueurs at an overpriced Christmas ball. Now all I want is a decent pint of ale to get my digestive tract back in working order. Winterbourne Arms, why don't you open until 12.00?

Right now I am drinking Old Engine Oil. I've not become desperate it's a beer from Harviestoun. Think i have had it before at a festival somewhere. Pump clip says it is viscous, it is.
