Salopian Requiem at the Mermaid fest in St Albans. I normally associate Salopian with light golden beers but this one is as dark as Newgate's Knocker. Very nice
I've just joined Alcoholics Anonymous - I still drink, just under a different name.

Nothing at all. If I was I would probably spill it down my keyboard whilst trying to type. Then I would be unable to tell people what I was drinking!

Water. I must confess that a heavy week followed by a heavy weekend have rather got the better of me

MANNS Brown Ale - 89p/500ml from Stan's supermarket.

It may be weak, gassy, not real, and "badge brewed" in about it's 13th different location (currently Wolverhampton), but it is still a classic of it's style. It still has that flavour that takes me back to my youth, -- years ago!

PS- I won't be binge drinking it and putting the pubs out of business, this is just a little extra

Off to the pub soon, the choice they have tweeted is

    Durham White Gold,
    Allendale Golden Plover
    Riverhead Elderflower
    Acorn Old Moor Porter
    Grafton Ferris Wheel
    Batemans Hopbine Bitter

we'll see how accurate that was later

Oh that takes me back as well, Mann's brown ale, I never knew it was still around, I will have to keep the eyes open next time in supermarket, just for nostalgia sake
