Hey, hondo. Look on the bright side. At least you've got a good excuse to go back to the Tap, to wash the taste away.

Enjoying the 8.5% house beer at this place http://deliriumcafe.be/ - I have a feeling my head will hurt in the morning. Or possibly later this evening!

Go on, Dave. Have another one - you deserve it. Enjoy your break.

It's a great place for a beer. We stayed at the Marriott near La Bourse which isn't very far away.

There's a great bar facing the entrance to the hotel called Le Coq on Auguste Ortsstraat 14.

A lot of the bars in the old town are actually pretty new although the buildings are old.

Le Coq is the third oldest bar in Brussels according to the landlord.

Watch where you're walking, Brussels is the dogshit capital of the world.

Not sure that we'll make it to many other bars, this place is just too fascinating! Thanks for the tip though, will bear it in mind tomorrow.

Oddly enough my girlfriend has commented on the complete lack of dog shit and how clean the pavements seem to be. Maybe there has been a dog cull in Brussels.

I hope so. Have they culled the graffiti numpties as well?

Everywhere except La Grande Place was covered in it.

Loved Brussels. We had Around Brussels in 80 beers and did a lot of the centre bars last April. This April we were staying a little outside the centre, but still managed to try a few new ones the day after we did the Zythos beer festival in Leuven. Have fun.
