Black Sheep Choc & Orange Stout. It's a bit weird.

I can get over it but a mate who's got 5 years on me , refuses point blank to even contemplate the idea.

The new Watneys range of beers are decent imo.Nothing great but like you the Watneys name stopped me trying them for quite a while.

This is NOT a cheap political point by me or the brewery, but an auspicious or inauspicious (depending on your point of view) taster of the Rother Valley 'Exit'...

Given that I was due to visit the local Rose & Crown today I thought I would stockpile some Tesco beers. I noticed a bottle from Bath Ales called Landsdown. There were lots of them so given the dross that had been emptied from the shelves I was quietly confident that I would like it. It's called a "West Coast IPA" and is half way between gold and orange. It's also extremely well hopped but I thought with a decent mix. I reckon it would be a cracker on cask. It exceeded expectations. Tesco seem to have discontinued all the multi-buys, can't say I blame them!
