Just nipped into my village pub for a swifty, on the way back from the local shop. Had to settle for Ossett Yorkshire Blonde. £2.70, for a pint of sheer tedium.

After a day battling with rain, farmyard manure and oak sleepers,I thought I'd reward myself with Old dairy's Double IPA Hop Top. Bottled-not seen otherwise. Somehow it put Johnny Vegas and Ross Noble talking (about) sh!t on QI into some form of perspective.

A 'Limited Edition' beer from Oakham called 3 Witches. Not up there with their best but pleasant enough.

At a JDW (for a change) drinking the Oakleaf Liberty Boat. It has a fairly complex taste but could well be in my top 5 come the end of the festival. It also has the honour of being my 30th of the festival ales .

Pale Rider. Can take it or leave it though. The Golden Glow beforehand was superb.

Oakham Untouchable IPA. A deeply dangerous and drinkable 9%.

Peggoty's Porter. Think it's from Mauldens but a tad difficult to focus right now.
