Yup. Many pubs have been serving sour beer for generations without it catching on, like strawberry Aero and hedgehog-flavour crisps.

Siren Origin Story, a 10% Imperial Stout , it's so very good.

Just started a mini-keg of Rudgate Jorvic, after finishing Day 3 of my Roosters Advent Calendar ( Roots Rock Reggae)

I'd forgotten about a bottle of McEwan's Champion 7.3% that I picked up from the Co-op in a 4-for-£7.75 deal back in September. Somehow it had ended up in the wrong cupboard, along with a Guinness West Indies Porter 6.0% , and came to light the other day during a tidy. So I'm having the Champion now (I made the mistake of giving the first bottle away to my daughter) and I may have the Guinness tomorrow. I had the first bottle of the Guinness Porter four weeks ago, and thought it was pretty good; the Champion is superb, so I may have to get some more of these and make sure I remember where I put them this time.

4 for £6 at Morrisons or currently £1.49 at Tesco, price matched with Aldi, apparently...

Thanks, Jim. I think my local Aldis are too small to carry this one, but I'll check Morrisons or Tesco.

Flaked oats, lactose, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg... ye gods (to NOT quote Will), just give me the water, hops, malted barley and yeast!

I think I'm more of a "good grief!" man, but if you've identified a source for "ye gods" I'll concede.

That beer looks pretty foul. A Christmas present from someone you've upset really badly?

Perhaps that's 'fake news', so I'll credit you with "good grief!" instead...

Picked up a couple at our Tesco today @ £1.49.

Not sure I've had it before in bottle. Still 7.3% @ £1.49, what's not to like.
A pub is for life not just for Christmas
