At the risk of sounding like a barrel obsessive, I suddenly realised when I looked at the title of the last post that I hadn't updated my thoughts on barrel-aged beers.

In no particular order here are my thoughts on what I think are very, very good wood-aged beers:

Thornbridge Alliance Madeira
Fuller's Brewer's Reserve 2008
Goose Island Bourbon County Stout
Breconshire's Ysbrid y Draig (tough to find though)
