Any one tell me when the Brown Lion pub ceased trading wot year..
What year any idea..
Soup Dragon thought in 2009 that the Brown Lion had been closed for years. It's difficult to answer for sure though, unless you're a regular visitor or resident up the Gregory. When I photographed it in 2007 I could not tell if it was trading or not because, unlike many closed pubs, the ornate exterior (thankfully) has been maintained because it is now used for residential purposes. Maybe Banks's brewery could answer that one?

One poster on here mentions that it was closed and up for sale at the end of 2000.
