A very quiet week which has drawn to a close on the ale front.
Two contenders: the ever reliable Oakham Bishops Farewell and BOTW Elland Karma Citra. 4.5% of very well balanced hoppiness and everyone who tried one immediately developed an urgent desire to wrap themselves around several more. A great pint.

Had a few Friday night, good ones were Punk IPA and 5a.m. Saint in Foley's. Can't remember about what else was on there but it was a good selection as usual.

Out in York today and the Three Legged Mare servd up two wonderful Guzzlers at 3.6%. Usually well below my radar but bang on. York Tap then provided a High Wire by Magic Rock at 5.5%. Kipling at Pivni went down well with a chocolate brownie, and a Sam Smiths Extra Stout in the Hansom Cab was also good.

York - Guzzler wins it I think

A fairly quiet week for me, but did have a decent session last night. Tried this week:

    Abbeydale - Genesis.
    Revolutions - Clash London Porter.
    Magic Rock - High Wire.
    Acorn - Yorkshire Pride.
    Timothy Taylor - Ram Tam.
    Williams Bros - Harvest Sun.
    Beartown - Kodiak Gold.
    Rudgate - Jorvik Blonde.

Enjoyed a cracking pint of Ram Tam, but the clear winner was the porter, in The Cricketers Arms, Horbury. One slight note of concern was the consistency of the High Wire. The last couple of times I've tried it, it's tasted slightly different, with a somewhat murkier hop character. Hope it's not going to become a victim of its own success like Rudgate Ruby Mild did for a while.
