Not overly impressed with eith the Skinners or the Banks. Can't believe they were the two we had really.
Alcohol doesn't solve problems .... but then again, neither does milk.
Currently in the Sir John Hardcastle in Farringdon where they have an impressive 12 Festival Ales available across the 12 hand pumps, a 100% turnout! Can anyone beat that?
Managed to sneak a quick GK Libertine in the Shrewsbury Hotel this lunchtime it was OK , for a GK beer it had some taste
Usual JDW gripe , busy Friday lunchtime only two bar staff on , Quiet Wednesday afternoon and four barstaff
Theres a Man with a Mullet going Mad with a Mallet in Millets !
Managed to slip a quick one in while in Rugby, the Zululand Zulu Blonde was interesting, golden but not hoppy, slightly malty but not sweet with a faint bitter finish. This is the only beer all week despite a day spent boating past two well known canalside pubs, but due to water shortage restrictions at the lock flights ,I didn't have time to call in
Guess what my BOTW is going to be ?
This Titanic stuff just tastes - bloody strong and it's taking a while to sink.

Not impressed with this Smuttynose thing, seems to be a Shep Neame twang to it. Thinking i need to get one of the ciders to take the taste away.

Could I just say that the Elgood's Snake Slayer (stout) went down especially well with the large breakfast. Or does that just sound sad...?
On leaving the bar, I felt a strong blow to the back of my head. Turning round, I discovered it was the pavement
Tried the Zulu Blonde which was excellent and Wolf Whistle which was not, (could be BABOTW).
I've still got two vouchers left to use by Saturday so I might try a few more festival ales.
Visted 2 Huddersfield 'Spoons and Halifax 'Spoons + a good pre-match session in the Lord Moon last night adding another 9 to the list between them. Now chalked up 24 which is low by my usual standards but still time for a few additions.
