    Default News from Brighton

Craft Beer Co / Cask is heading to Brighton! The Spotted Dog has joined the fold and will continue to trade as such (so far as I can work out) for a couple of weeks, till "Cask Brighton" [that's a Twitter feed] opens on Friday 23rd at 12:00.

All 3 in the chain are actually owned by Greene King, although you wouldn't know from either the inside or the outside.

Here's a picture, and here's some cheap train tickets.

I didn't sea that one coming

I'll be in Lewes in May, taking my Dad away for a week, so will try to get to Brighton and check this out. From the recent photos there appears to be a Delirium Tremens font on the bar, that could be dangerous

When I originally posted this news, I hinted at some unhappiness from the Spotted dog's lessees, but edited it as I didn't know the full details. However, the Morning Advertiser now has an article and Greene King aren't looking too good (as well as taking an unnecessary dig at their former tenants). Tony Leonard of the Snowdrop Inn, Lewes (one of the lessees) has further comments on his Twitter feed, for anyone who has an interest in the business and politics of the beer tie.
