Ok own up who was the Pubs Galore guy having the heated argument here.

Nope, the only Putney pub I've EVER been in is the White Horse.
Also not guilty, especially as its sarf of the River and I'd have to get my passport out..
My money is on a return visit by the 'Bonser' and the debate was probably over why only half the pumps were clipped last time he was in..
But as I don't think John contributes to the forums, so I doubt we'll ever know, unless someone owns up or John posts an update.

Wasn't me.
I made a special trip to Putney to visit this pub one afternoon and it was closed for some reason. I had to console myself by visiting all of the other pubs in the area.
WE ARE THE BREADMEN - UP THE BEES
I'd be surprised if it was any of us, sounds like a BiTE person trying to have a bit of a dig to me, after all who gets into "heated" debates with bar staff and starts quoting websites?
Incidentally a number of us were in the area last night and sadly there were issues with the beer in the Bricklayers, no heated debates though, just a decision to move on elsewhere.
I think I might know who this was. One of the guys we were drinking with last night is a regular at The Bricklayer's Arms, and when we were in there last night he said that beer availability had been an issue for some while (you can tell this from the BITE postings). He also said that he had spoken with Becky, the managaress, a few days ago (but they get on quite well and I would be surprised if it was a heated conversation - might have been earnest though) and had told her that such a situation would not sit well with his PubsGalore chums when they visited on Tuesday. The person in question does not contribute to PubsGalore, but I can see how anyone overhearing said conversation might get the wrong end of the stick.
Maldenman - this conversation took place before you joined us at The Duke's Head. Incidentally, the Potton Brewery Penny at the Bricklayers walks away with my BABOTW title this week.
I just found it an odd comment , especially coming from one of the remaining better reviewers on bite.
I have found the Brickies wanting on a couple of occasions ever since the fall out with Timothy Taylor's,hopefully they can sort it as it has been a good pub.
