A few decent pints in The Baum on Tuesday.

Wilson Potter Ruby Red was very nice but the surprise of the night was Greenfield Thirst Born.

I'm not a great fan of Greenfield brews, they are very in and out.

However Thirst Born is definitely in, I had three pints.

It's in the lead by a street length at the moment.

No beer for me this week, as I'm taking an antibiotic that's incompatible with alcohol.

Burley St Brewhouse - Laguna Seca

A fantastic IPA from the Fox & Newt brewpub on Burley Road in Leeds. I shall be visiting there more in future, a much overlooked pub.

There was also a tasty Kirkstall Pale Ale in North Bar, Leeds Pale in the Adelphi and Saltaire Blonde in the Templar Hotel all worthy of a mention.

That doesn't sound good at all A&H, you'd have thought science would have come up with an alcohol tolerant antibiotic by now

At present it's either an excellent pint of Draught Bass or the Wychwood Dirty Tackle I had last night watching the rugby.

However I'm meeting up with a mate today for a few beers, if the trains are OK, so will reserve judgement.

Windsor & Eton Conqueror 1075 at the Nags Head. 7.4% of pure lovliness. Knocked the Sarah Hughes into a cocked hat at the Hobgoblin an hour later.

Managed another couple of pints of Ironbridge Wenlock Oak Aged Stout last night plus a few others (and some Guiness)

    Envile - Simpkiss
    Purple Moose - Cwrw Eryri
    Rudgate - Admirals Cheer
    Tetley - Bitter

All drunk while taking part in the new spectator sport of watching cars trying to get up the mainstreet in the snow , all the buses were cancelled so i had to walk home which meant a couple of refreshment breaks on the way at the Red Lion(Tetley) and Duke of York(Guiness , no ale but only £2.50 a pint)

Loads of good Ales this week and a few crap ones as well. But I think that was more down to the Pubs fault.

    Six of the best below.
    Exmoor Beast
    Cairngorm Wildcat
    Woodfordes Admirals Reserve
    Summerskills Whistle Belly Vengeance
    Ringwood Fortyniner
Traditional Scottish Ales Sporran Winter Warmer Ale.

I will go for Summerskills Whistle Belly Vengeance as Ale of the week.
Don't You just hate Pubs that say
( We don't stock any Real Ales as theres Just no call for it.)
