More than a bit late.
They're all trying to think of something to say about the beer for their reviews.
There's no (real) cider at the Vulcan, the Star or the Magic Rock Tap. Don't know about the Corner - I usually note cider if I see it, so as it's not mentioned in my review, probably not. There's...

making a total of 13.
I'll probably be on the 11:54 arrival direct from Sheffield so will see you all when you arrive in the King's Head. (Or possibly...
I don't know either Elaine or Tara, so I can't estimate how pleased they will be to have a chat with us after we've visited seven other pubs. Should we perhaps bump the Corner up the list? It's only...
I've been there on a Friday afternoon/evening. As I approached, I couldn't understand where all the loud music was coming from. When I got to the door I was driven back by a wall of sound. Never...
Dave? Are you there, Dave?
It was Friday that I was there when it didn't open on time. I'd really like to do the Slubbers Arms. The beer may not be startlingly original, but it seems like an interesting pub from what I've...
That seems to be a consensus! (I've booked the day off too.)
I wrote a long and detailed reply to Oldboots #67 but when I tried to send it, the bloody forum had logged me out and I lost the whole f***ing lot. This didn't used to happen - has anyone else had...
Looking good!
Just one small fly in the ointment: I went to Huddersfield for a bit of reconnaissance last Friday and found the Slubbers Arms not open at 12:15 and 12:45. WhatPub says they are...
Yikes!
Have you tried splitting the journey up into chunks? For example, London to Leeds or London to Manchester, then a separate ticket onwards.
Magic Rock Tap now opens at 13:00 on Fridays, according to their Facebook page.
Ah, yes. Good point.
The problem is that the Magic Rock and the Slubbers are to the north of the town centre, while the Star and the Rat are to the south. What about a couple of extras in the centre for those who don't...
The Star might also be considered "off piste", as it's 16 minutes walk from there to the Head of Steam.
Magic Rock Tap appears to be about 10 minutes walk from the Sportsman, and I for one would not find that off-putting, especially as the Slubbers Arms is only a short stroll further on. Then back into...
As time goes on, tickets are likely to become more expensive, especially for those unlucky enough not to live in Yorkshire, which I would suggest makes an October date not very realistic.

BUMP!
What about Huddersfield on Friday the 4th of November, then? Or does someone want to start a poll on the date...
I assumed we were doing North this November, to "even things up".
See this thread, in particular Nev's point at #15 and some stats from me at #20. Then Quinno proposed North - South - North (see...
