Just two for me:
The Queen Bess
Shakespeare's Head
Try these photos instead:
That narrows it down a bit, but not much.
Interesting session.
Some of the worst beers I can remember have been porters or stouts with actual coffee in them. I like coffee and I like beer, but I think I'd rather have pineapple juice than...
That's rather tempting!
2013?
Remember, this is supposed to be data-led, not the timetabled approach that you appear to be imposing on the country. Though doubtless you will be incredibly popular when you leak this version to...
Got my appointment for tomorrow! They must have found a spare vial down the back of the sofa.
Perhaps a little more information than we needed! (Good news about the vaccination and the "nice little earner", though.)
Levelling up?
That's good news, Steve. (Still waiting for mine....)
This one?
Oxidation occurs when oxygen negatively reacts with the molecules in the wort or beer. It can be difficult to avoid because aeration of wort before pitching yeast is necessary. It is...
North Riding Brewery Toffee Porter 4.5%. This 50cl bottle cost £3.45 from Beer Central. It poured with a big fluffy head and the smell of bonfire toffee. Initial flavour was dominated by chocolate...
There's no doubting the quality of this - far better than the Siren Craft Gather & Store that I had in December. I like to try one from time to time, but I can't get massively enthused about sour...
Police report rise in large Covid lockdown parties in England.
Guilty as charged.
Well, here's a bit of an oddity that I picked up at Beer Central two weeks ago and hadn't quite summoned up the courage to drink it until now. Yes, it's a sour beer. Vault City Brewing Sloe Gin Sour...
I've rarely been able to buy the same Kernel beer twice - they seem to do very short runs and then go on to brew something else.
I'd be interested in getting hold of that one, because if anyone can make a decent beer with mosaic hops, The Kernel can.
Thanks for drinking that one so that we don't have to! Actually, as a vegetarian/nearly vegan I wouldn't have gone anywhere near that beer. Just goes to show there are worse things than peanut butter.
I'm only a beginner on whisky, Jim. I have yet to pay much more than £30 for a bottle, so £350 seems like a hell of a lot. Have you had a look at the gift ideas on this website?
:)
I didn't notice the cinnamon, despite the fact that it was listed in the ingredients before the cocoa and coffee, which usually indicates there's more of it - which I find hard to believe. I didn't...
Tonight's beer is a magnificent 12.5% Imperial Stout from North Brewing in collaboration with Mikkeller. This 440ml can cost £7.50 from Beer Central. First impression is of a massively alcoholic...
Good to know you've had it. Hope you're feeling ok now.
