It should only be based on reviews, will look into that. You are quite right about differentiating confidence in visits, need to sort that out.

There's always one troublemaker! If people think this would be useful I can look into it.
Definitely, but having to rewrite the main mapping. I need to get the new version to load only the...
I created the first version of the site in early 2003, at that stage anyone could submit a photo without needing to log in. I wasn't storing them in good quality or the date they were submitted....
Thanks, did see the suggestion and have been looking into it.
Trying to work out what can be done with mapping in general. I'd like to make some sort of all-purpose map that can be used for...
He was definitely in the Lymestone Vaults, deliberately ignoring us and watching as we discuss between ourselves whether or not we thought it might be him. His post about it here...
Someone may have just made a quick change.
It was actually quite hard to read as really was grey-on-grey. It is now almost black on a slightly paler grey and feels more comfortable to me.
Very sad to hear this.
I always made a point of chatting to Aqualung early in a crawl as I knew he was likely to be drifting off on his own and I may miss him later. Sadly I'm not very talkative...
Not sure what has happened, but it does look like there are quite a few still trapped. Will try to figure it out.
Still, my trip to West Cornwall no longer has any targets thanks to John McGraw...
That is a very good point. I'd like to make much more use of maps and I think I'm going to have to come up with far better ways of differentiating markers, as in shapes/designs rather than just...
It has been there for a few years, the whole pub visit concept was something I created in 2016 but never fully padded out. It was part of the 2016 Quinno pub name challenge.
I envisaged being able...
I've been revamping the micropubs listing page to include some more useful information (area as well as town). Also formatting changes to try to make the same page run on mobile and desktop.
If...
I will do at some point, I need to take stock of all the little bits that I've added to the site without putting a link up. I did add a link to it from this page about a week ago...
Certainly can, the trouble comes with loading all 16000 in one go. My computer and phone can just about handle it, but it causes a bit of a strain https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs-without-reviews/
...
Just moved this into a new thread to make sure more people see it.
I've been meaning to do a map of this for ages because I know I'd find it useful, have a trip planned for West Cornwall in May so...
There is now a map showing the remaining 4000 or so pubs without a photo https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs-without-photos/
Have my jab booked for Monday, not sure if my GP has decided to put me into priority group 6 or if they were inviting under 50s earlier in the week before the shortage was announced. Hoping it...
Nicely found!
I thought it'd be nice with those pages if the list on the left only shows the pubs currently in view on the map, seemed kind of useful.
Also when the map first loads it does a...
It is a very strange thing to do. I've seen it a few times, but it is usually after leaving a really bad review.
I've re-enabled the adding of Facebook links as just standard links. Sorry, clearly should've done so ages ago. :muppet:
Given up the battle with Facebook to use their official API. They really...
There is now a button on the pub page for admins to restore those listings to regular closed pubs that will appear in towns/areas rather than being soft deleted.
It is one that has been 'soft deleted', I'll look into a button to recover such listings where they are useful - as I should've done 4 years ago!
Yes, someone spotted the same glitch in 2016....
To be fair Bedfordshire in general is trending pretty badly. I put together this https://covid19data.xyz/ for my own analysis of what's going on (hence no key explaining any of it!)
Last week and...
So the latest tier updates make a whole lot of sense then.
Greater Manchester has to be treated as a whole, for not entirely clear reasons. Seems very unfair on Tameside and Stockport but fair...
Well that is a pain because it occurred to me it'd be interesting to see how quickly casks of guest ale were being drunk according to the app.
I think that would be a good idea.
Still looking into extracting data to find out how useful it is.
