Someone on Camra's Discourse forum has just pointed out similar at this pub. Looks like Alan Winfield noted the same back in 2012.

Considering Alan Winfield could do up to 34 pubs in a day, makes you wonder what figure he could have achieved in 24 hours.

The George Tavern is still hanging on. The New Globe is now a hotel and The Old Red Lion was demolished to make way for a new entrance for the next-door Aldgate East station.
